Slow dance tunes were always popular at school proms and dances.  Some teenagers would come to the dance floor only when slow songs were played.  Knowing this, The Blue Beats are shown in the background playing a slow dance number from a repertoire of popular songs.

The 1968 Hamlin High School Junior-Senior Prom was the last time the original The Blue Beats performed.  An earlier performance at the school got us an invitation to play at the 1968 year-end prom. At this final performance, several students asked us if we had records to sell of our songs.  Unfortunately, we had none, but given a few more months together...who could say...
