WKEE Radio DJs from the 1960s
The Ceredo-Kenova Field House was the site of the WKEE Radio sponsored Battle of the Bands. The Blues Beats took second place and received a guest appearance on WHTN-TV Channel 13's Saturday Scene, a televised music and teenage dance show.  The band performed "I'll Never Love Again", an original song written by group members, and "Summer in the City", a popular Top 40 song of the day.
WKEE Radio Battle of the Bands

The Blue Beats took second place behind the Swiss Navy during this WKEE Battle of the Bands event.
The CK Field House appears the same today much as it did during the Battle of the Bands era of the 1960s
